Anthony J. Grey Appointed to Maple Board

March 24, 2005

Maple Minerals Corp. (“Maple”) is pleased to announce that, subject to regulatory approval, Mr. Anthony J. Grey has been appointed to its Board of Directors.

Mr. Grey, currently a resident of Australia, was the founder of Pan Continental Mining Ltd., a publicly listed mining company with interests in gold, base metals and uranium. Under Mr. Grey’s leadership, Pan Continental discovered the Jabiluka uranium deposit, currently Australia’s largest undeveloped uranium deposit. Mr. Grey was the Chairman of the Uranium Institute, a world-wide association of uranium producers and consumers headquartered in London, England. Prior to starting Pan Continential in 1972, Mr. Grey practiced law for seven years with McCarthy Tétrault of Toronto, Canada.

Mr. Gino Falzone, President of Maple Minerals Corp., states: “We are very pleased to add someone of Mr. Grey’s credentials to the Board. Mr. Grey’s contacts in Australia and throughout the world will be of considerable benefit to Maple.”

Pursuant to his appointment, Mr. Grey has been granted 150,000 Maple stock options exercisable at $1.40 per share for a term of five years.
